Blue Bird - Lin Frye

Journal - Bluebird - trying to branch out of my comfort zone. These wonderful birds nest here year round ... They were enjoying surprisingly warm weather this week, and now the temps are dipping into the 20s ... How do they do it?

  1. Pretty bluebird. Bluebirds and robins are both thrushes ... and very hardy. When Yellowstone still has snow on the ground, there will be mountain bluebirds flitting about. Fortunately there are insects that come out early and the bluebirds seem to do just fine. I do notice that when a spring snowstorm hits the high country, the bluebirds do come down to lower elevations.
